I've always enjoyed writing since I was at school, but it's been a few years since I've written anything as ambitious as even a short story. Inspired by a friend who's preparing to write for NaNoWriMo I've decided to do something about that this month!
Every day in October I'll be using 750words.com to write a short story with the complete collection published after the 31st. Since that's Halloween, to make it a little more fun, the majority will aim for a horror-ish slant.
The very nature of the challenge I've set for myself means that these are not going to be polished, edited, final works but effectively 31 first drafts of ideas. Obviously each one is going to be about three pages long, so if it's terrible, it's not much to ignore.
Each story is available in three formats: the iBooks icon is suitable for the Apple iPad and iPhone, tapping it should allow you to open it directly into iBooks or you can download on your computer and sync with iTunes; this file is also compatible with other eBook readers that accept the EPUB format. The Kindle icon is suitable for the Kindle, and other readers that accept the MobiPocket format. Finally PDF is readable on most devices, including your computer.
If you would provide an honest rating and review or criticism of each story, I would very much appreciate it. Corrections and errors can be sent by e-mail to halloween-corrections@netsplit.com.
